Cruise this blog for ideas and recipes for preparing quick healthy dishes your family will enjoy. You’ll find the recipes divided into categories by food groups, meals and snacks. Some sections, like 5:00 SOS, have special recipes and tips for when you’re in a pinch but don’t want to surrender to McCrappy Meals at the drive through. Other sections, like Weekend Prep, are for times when you feel a little more together and can do some preparation ahead of time to set up multiple meals for the week.

Our “Simple Basics” section is based on our time-saving concept: “cook once, eat thrice”. We like to prepare certain foods (such as grains, beans and roasted chicken) plain, in large batches, and then use them strategically throughout the week. You’ll find multiple uses for one dish that will stretch the value of each precious cooking minute.
