About the Real Food Moms

With this high-impact duo, you will get the combined expertise of a registered dietitian and health educator with over 15 years of teaching experience. With degrees from Johnson and Wales, Marymount College and Columbia University, the Real Food Moms provide you with unparalleled culinary, nutrition and teaching excellence. Their additional holistic certifications from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, The Wave Work Institute, and The Mind Body Institute in Washington DC, assure an effective, whole-life perspective in all of their services.

Jeannette Bessinger, CHHC and health educator, and Tracee Yablon-Brenner, CHHC, RD and natural nutritionist, met shortly after graduating from the same class at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. Inspired by the commonality of their experiences as mothers and shared vision of healthier American families, they formed a partnership to develop a manuscript reflecting that vision. The manuscript became Simple Food for Busy Families: The Whole Life Nutrition Approach and the Real Food Moms were born. They are currently collaborating again on a new book for the Great Expectations series: Your Baby’s Best Food. The first nutrition book in this popular series, YBBF is a comprehensive guide to feeding your baby from birth through the toddler years, complete with 150 recipes for making great baby and toddler meals with real foods. Look for it in February of 2010.

Both women regularly speak about lifestyle health and nutrition at schools, businesses and health centers. Jeannette designed and currently facilitates an innovative and successful hospital-based lifestyle change program for adults working on improving their health. Tracee facilitated a traditional hospital-based weight loss program for eight years.

Together as the Real Food Moms, they deeply believe in the power of American families to heal themselves, and have committed their professional lives to supporting that effort.
