Hi and welcome to Real Food Moms.

We created this site especially for you, "The busy mom and her family."

Moms want to give the best to their children. Our goal is to help you not only change your life, but give your children (the next generation) a better life too. Gift them a chance to live longer and significantly improve their quality of life. Also, don't forget that happy, relaxed moms equal happy, relaxed children – in most cases. (Sorry for any exceptions).

One thing we know first hand is the difficulty of juggling all the needs of modern life – children, work, household, cooking, and last but not least – laundry. Very often the things that slip through the cracks are home cooked nutritious meals and exercise (or getting to that yoga class). We know what it feels like to be stressed, running on empty, and having no time for yourself.

The problem is disEASE begins when we don't cook nutritious meals and eat food that is convenient – typically packaged food without nutritional value. Eating in front of the TV and not having a regular exercise routine has led 1 out of 3 kids to obesity and 68 % of Americans to overweight status. The rate of pre-diabetes or diabetes has risen over the past 10 years from 9% to 23%*.

We are here to help you get back in the kitchen and nourish your family with real food, which is the best medicine in the house. Our brain chemistry is often tricked especially when drinking diet soda, which is technically zero calories, but literally triggers the brain to want more sweets. Also, the sweet salty combinations of convenient foods made in a factory wreak havoc within your body. So join us in the kitchen – the center of the home – while we create yummy, whole foods that you cook once and can eat twice.

We at Real Food Moms want to share our secrets with you. We care because we have been there. Through trial and experience we have attained an easy healthy lifestyle and hope to help you achieve the same feeling of overall wellness, and we'll make it easy with solutions for the entire family.

Our philosophy is simple – regularly invest in yourself when it comes to health. It's important to remember that keeping routines and consistent self-care improves your life. Using nutrition, yoga, and stress management techniques will help you acquire a feeling of calm and a balanced state of body, have more vitality, natural energy, joy, and self-confidence.

The Real Food Moms website will teach you many ways to do this with shortcuts to putting delicious, healthy dinners on the table, as well as an exercise program you can manage around your hectic schedule. Our support will guide you every step of the way as you make small and/or big changes. We want to try our best to meet all of your needs, so please give us any suggestions or specific topics you would like us to address. We are more than happy to be of service and provide reliable answers to help you make positive changes with ease. And remember, all any of us can do is try our best every day. We don't want to waste your time or keep you from your precious family, so we'll offer simple, easy, and effective suggestions. Dads don't think you are not included because you're a big part of this too! Keep checking the site for new information, videos, products and much more. Join us today – become a Real Food Mom – and start your entire family living a healthier lifestyle.

*According to a NHANES study from 1999 to 2008 adolescents have high risk factors for cardiovascular disease like high blood pressure, high cholesterol and prediabetes/type 2diabetes has increased 15%. That's about one in four kids with prediabetes/type 2 diabetes. 18+ years ago it was called Adult on-set diabetes which shows a lot needs to be changed in how and what we eat and conduct our lifestyles.
